what should i wear on a first date? please help!!!?

im going on a first date with a guy i've just met.we're going to a quiet pub on a weekday evening, do i dress up or down? also how can i calm my nerves, im terrified!!!

Wear something that makes you feel comfortable. If he likes you, then it shouldn't matter about how you dress. If you dress in a regualr t-shirt and jeans, it just means that you are a laid back person that doesn't do things in a fast pace. If you wear something that shows off a lot of skin, then he might think that you want him for only one thing. So wear something comfortable. Like if your going to the movies, a t-shirt and jeans would do. If your going to a dance or something, wear a dress. It all depends on the occasion. If you wear something comfortable, then he will know that you are comfortable with yourself.

I would wear an outfit that is comfortable but that also makes you feel confident, as you will radiate external confidence (always a good thing) if you have inner confidence and this should make your date much more enjoyable. Also, try to relax, it's a date not a job interview. The more you can relax and enjoy yourself, the better your date will feel about you and the better your date should go.

I guess the long and short of it is that IMHO it's not so important what you wear on your date as much as how you wear it and most importantly how the outfit makes you feel when you're wearing it. Smile and have fun! :)

Wear whatever you would normally wear and be yourself, not a supermodel or someone you are not. This will also help to calm your nerves as you'll feel far more comfortable. When I met my fiance three years ago I wore a tye died Stones shirt as it was very me and because she is an artist so I believed she would think it was cool. She laughs about it today with her gal pals but says that it me and she realized right off the bat that I wasn't trying to expose myself as someone else. Believe in your inner beauty to show through and do not allow the exterior dressings influence you. Good luck.

Well, wraith is also cool and all... however it is not attractive. At all. You'd must do a gorgeous task at the wraith to appear lovely. If it have been in need of to uncover a brand new buddy, then Wraith might be Cooler, sure. However, being as this can be a romantic first, you wish him to feel "attractive." Dress Downish but feminine.
I've always liked a Black skirt (Midlength) and a good large patterend blouse in darker colours for the pub thing.
(Always got my attention in a good way in a Pub...)
