Find healthy foods you like, and eat them. Most people think healthy food tastes really boring, but its not. A favorite of mine is cucumber. It tastes really good, its healthy, and it has water in it, so eat it after excersise.

Lower the sugar intake, especially with soda pop. Increase intakes of calcium and protein and limited the intake of simple carbohydrates. Focus more on whole grains and fresh vegetables. Try to limit caffeine if possible and moderate excercise that brings the heart rate up but not too high and keeps that level high for an extended period. Walking is an excellent exercise that coincides with a sensible diet plan.

Forget everyone else's mumble-jumble, heard-it-all-before- `cos I recently read that taking two tablespoons of honey before bedtime helps to maintain your glucose levels throughout the night; therefore when you wake up, your blood sugar levels aren't at an all time low. As far as I know, doing this will curtail excessive cravings or something. I guess it regulates your metabolism, but this article was defined as a great tip for people wanting to keep their weight in check.
Also, you may want to be informed that vinegar sustains your appetite for a longer period of time.
Doesn't eating hot foods speed up your metabolism also?-I'm sure I've heard that somewhere.....
Anyway, hope that helps!

First of all just cut down your caloric intake, drink 6-8 glasses of water (fills you up and cleanses your system) and most importantly start exercising at least 3 times a week for at least 20-30 minutes minimum. Going for walks is a great form of exercise, just walk at a faster pace than normal and swing your arms. GOOD LUCK:)

Stop eating processed foods. Period. Not exactly original, but novel for the American diet. Buy fruits and vegetables, meats, eggs and whole grains with healthy oils like olive and nut oils and start cooking.

Clive James on a chat show recently was talking about his weight loss, said he'd tried all the fashionable diets 'til he found the one that worked - it's called the "eat less food diet".

Don't keep junky food in your house. If it isn't available, you won't be eating it. Stick to lots of fruits and veggies. They are an awesome snack and you can basically eat as much of it as you want.
Never skip breakfast. It really is important, as long as you eat good foods. Whole grain cereal, grapefruits, egg, oatmeal..
If at all possible, drink only water. If that isn't possible, than just drink as much of it as you can.
If your not used to exercising, start lightly. Walking is a good start.
