Because Lucifer means "Bringer of Light," but it was also Satan's name. So it wrong, or could you use it like any other name?

No person in his right mind to name their children Lucifer. If you are christian, you will be disowned by all congregations. If you are Satanist, you will have no problem. Name of person has a meaning to the bearer. Do you ever wonder why, the Pope and Royalties changed their names when became the Head of the Community? This is to give them power and authority as a new being. If you intended to rename yourself as Lucifer, think it over, but never involve the innocent being that cant resist you at that time.

This is gonna sound really silly and when I was 30 or even 40 I would have thought what a crock, but over the last 50 years I have noticed that names seem often to be a part of the person that somehow fits. I first noticed it with the name Pearl, every woman I knew named Pearl had this one part of their personality that was the same. Next with names that had an ON in it, like Don, Ron etc.but not John.

This does not seem to be a hard and fast thing but names seem to have something to do with that persons personality. What affects what and is a chicken or egg thing but there is very likely a connection. Wish someone would do a scientific study or the likes of such.
Here's the thing,, seems to me like a person would be asking for trouble naming a son Lucifer. I have only known one human with that name and he was a pretty close resemblance to the biblical charactor.

I'd never name a son Caleb just cuz I don't like the sound but I have known 3 Caleb s and all three were strikingly unpstanding, courageously, honorable men.

No it will not, before he was Satan he was Lucifer.First of all, Lucifer was a created being. He was created by God Himself. Colossians 1:16 states.

We know from scripture that Lucifer had dominion and authority. This authority was given to Lucifer by God.

So what happened? Lucifer wanted to leave his proper abode as a created being or creature and become like God. Lucifer wanted to know the difference between good and evil so he rebelled against God and became the personification of evil..He became Satan.

The same thing happened to man. Adam and Eve were created beings. But they fell from God's grace.

So it's all good no problem, he's name was not his problem it was his greed. God Bless!

In the bible the morning star who rebelled against God is named Lucifer from Hebrew Halal.

Lucifer means Light bearer. Even though he isn't Lucifer anymore but a fallen star. Also a terrror.

I wouldn't name my child Lucifer because of the connotations of that name. Your child would suffer until he had a name change.

In my opinion, many people think of that name as being bad i find no fault, but wouldn't it be best to give your child another name. I know you would not like him going to school and being teased, if he does something wrong they will all come down on him, maybe saying things like he is a devil child or so on. The naming of your son however is up to you.

Wrong? Morally is what I think your asking, and no it isn't. However why would you give a child you love a name s/he will be teased about and have to live down for the rest of her/his life? If you want to name something that how about a dog, cat, parakeet, etc.

Yes.
Lucifer meant to be a "Bringer of light" but ultimately he turned to be the " Lord of the darkness"
Would you like your son to be that?

Lucifer? You have to consider the affects it will bring on your son. Not a good idea, he will be tormented. Seriously how about Lucifa (Loo seyfa)? Now say it fast. Sounds good huh?

Most would consider that over the top. Some dumb fundie kid might want to kill him to allay the end of the world. Lucifer may work better than Ted though. ( Rev. Ted Haggard )

Lucifer was a Roman god. He wasn't added to the devilish pantheon in Christianity until about the 1100s.
