A Venti (large) Americano is 5 shots of Espresso and hot water. I think thats about the most caffienated you can get.
BTW: a "red eye" is a regular coffee with ONE shot of espresso. and a "black eye" is a regular coffee with two shots. We have several names for three and four shots. but I don't know if your local starbucks would call them the same thing. Like a triple shot (what they would probably call it) we call a black eye and bloody nose.

I think they call it a "red eye" at Starbucks ( I've also heard of it referred to as a "brewtus"). A cup of regular coffee with a double shot of espresso thrown in for good measure.

you can buy a DoubleShot or a DoubleShot Light in a can in the little refrigerated section by the counter. really tasty, cold, and refreshing, and it keeps you going for hours. i call it "magic in a can". deelish
