I would think not. The acid reflux is usually further down. Unless of course you are prone to vurps......... vomit induced burps....

Yes, because when you lay down sometimes the acid settles in your throat passage way and it can cause irritation. Talk to your doctor about getting a prescription for Axid or some other form of medication to control Acid Reflux. I tried Prilsec over the counter pill and had good results. Get it checked out though.
