i have fallen in love.
I got to know her as friends and we get on really well.
I asked if she wanted to be more than friends and she said no not really.
I am now actually setting her up with another lad.
Why???
I know i shouldnt be but i just cant help it.
Is there anything i can do to get her to like me?

Having just left a marriage of 16+ years because love didn't come easy, I had all but given up on finding or knowing that true love even existed. However, shortly after I finally walked away from my loveless marriage, I did find the man of my dreams, a man that I only thought existed in my dreams. So, it can and does happen.
With that said, love for you may not come easy or quickly either. Continue to love yourself and live your life for yourself and everything else will fall into place.
As for this girl you state you have fallen in love with...if love for you doesn't exist for her, let it go.
Setting her up with another lad is up to you. Ask yourself, though, what is your motivation for doing this? You must put your own happiness first, if it makes you happy to set her up with someone else, then do it. If not, don't.
Also, you might ask yourself if you have done everything you can think of to try to win this girl's heart? Think that over before you "hand" her over to another lad.

Just asking if you want to be more than friends is open to all sorts of misinterpretation! Why not just ask her out on a date (nothing too heavy) and say you really like her company. Take a long term view and see what develops.

I sense your either quite young, or haven't gone out with many people in a serious relationship.

No matter how much you think you love someone you can always get over them and there are many many more out there for you.
If she doesn't want you, say, "ah well your loss" and find someone better. Everything happens for a reason.

It sounds like to much drama and she already stated she wanted nothing more but I wouldn't set her up with someone else especially if you all end up going out together sometime which will upset you seeing her with someone else. Just let her go and do her thing and you do yours

well she must like you if you are friends....why not leave it at that for a while and see how it goes, you cant expect her to fall head over heals for you overnight, and no you cant MAKE her like you, but like I said, she does like you if you are friends, why not ask her to go out with you maybe as a foursome to begin with ?
