i have a strange situation. i get this horrible pain at work on a daily basis. the pain is achey and dull and is located on my right side, right in the middle (it radiates front and back sometimes) and is located right in the middle of my rib cage. it only happens at work and i dont know why. i've tried wearing looser clothes (thought it was from tighter jeans) i've tried adjusting my chair, nothing is working. it also feels tender in the front of the area where it's hurting and hurts when i press on it. what could this be?

Professors in my department were finding that they were suffering from mysterious back pain. It turned out to be ergonomics. As they used the computer mice, the chair to desk height allowed for proper wrist position but not proper arm position. They purchased ergonomic mouse pads that attached to the chair arms and the pain went away!
I also find that you need to force yourself to take breaks. Pick an interval and stick to it. You shouldn't have to take daily pain relievers and it's not a good habit to take muscle relaxants.

i advice to go and see your doctor, do you horse ride reguarally? or have you had a recent injury-no matter how minor injuries to your back and stomach can take years to fully heal as the tissue and tendons grow more slowly in these areas

you need a good massage therapist, or chiropractor, its probably a pinched nerve or pulled muscle, and could have to do with how you're sitting at work

could be kidneys could be appendix, but i would go to a chiropractor those guys are great at just about anything ailng you
