About 2 years ago something fell out my left ear while i was sitting, it was maybe 2-3 cm wide and was shaped like a circle.
I really didnt pay attention but now I noticed that while cleaning my ears I can put the cleaning thing further in my left ear.
I checked wikipedia and the first thing in the ear is the eardrum, and I wonder is that possible that I somehow lost it? And no, I can hear just fine with both ears.

It wouldnt be your eardrum. If you lost your eardrum, you would not be able to hear correctly in that ear, you would have a constant ringing and your head would probably hurt all of the time. I would say check out a doctor, it is possible you had a really large wax buildup, and after time, with exposure to air, it probably hardened, and wont let you allow that qtip in your ear canal. Check out a doctor, I doubt your eardrum fell out.

1. DO NOT push anything into your ear to clean it.
2. Wax can be quite red in colour, especially if it is old.
3. Something else may have dropped out your ear - old cotton wool covered in wax can ldge in the ear.
4. The eardrum is only small, and is attached to the skin of the ear - I really doubt it would spontaneously fall out, and if it did, it would be a loose bit of skin.
5. Go and see your practice nurse, or family doctor who can look in your ear and check everything is OK.
6. You can rupture your eardrum, using Q-tips/cotton buds, so don't do it!

haha..it was probably a chunk of wax. If your eardrum fell out I DOUBT you would be able to hear well. The wax explains why you can stick qutips in further and why you can hear better. And the first thing is the eardrum..but if you look again at the picture on wikipedia it's a membrane..which means that it would probably be very thin and easier punctured..and not something that would be able to fall out.

If your eardrum fell out you would have been in so much pain the trip to the emergency room would have been too much for the driver to cope with. You had some junk in your ear and it if you are so astute as to notice the depth of the Qtip, it is because the junk is no longer in there.

It was not your eardrum. It was something else--foreign body, wax buildup, etc. If it had been your eardrum, you would be in excrutiating pain. An eardrum, in any case, is MUCH smaller than 2-3 cm wide.

That was the tiddly wink you put in your ear when you were four. It's been in there all this time. If you don't know what a tiddly wink is, it's a thin plastic disk about 2-3 cm wide. Better tell your brother you found it.

wax that had been impacted in your ear for a long period and loosened would be a reddish brown color because it was old
when you clean your ears and get a orangey color wax on the cotton swab
that's wax isn't it
