Could it be called actually going out if your so called “boyfriend” didn’t even ask you out but just had his friend ask you just because you are desperate? And then he doesn’t even talk to you or take you out to any of the school games or anything!? That is what is going on with me. I don’t like the guy and I could go out with any of the other guys who like me and want a chance. I don’t want to dump my “boyfriend” but at the same time I do. I just can’t dump a guy who hasn’t even been bad to me. So is considered actually dating or can I just go out with another without saying anything but still not be cheating?

it seems like you need to ask him where do you 2 stand. then you will be able to make a wise choice on your next move. you need 2 be the one to bring the conversation to the table it seems like he dont know how

You can dump a guy even though he hasn't been bad to you. If it is just not working out, you need to tell him. Just say that...as corny as it sounds, that you just want to be friends. It is highschool you don't need a boring boyfriend holding you down.
