Now when i open Windows media player it says there is a problem with your sound device. I have tried system restore and that does not seem to be working. Pls help?

I think you must have deleted your audio driver... well its software which connects your speakers to your system hardware...
You can re-install it by using the cd.. given to you with your motherboard..Or you could download any free audio driver from net...
the drivers depend basically on the type of mother board you are using...

If you deleted and didnt shut your computer down it is still in your trash you can click on it and restore it. If it is not there you might contact windows media player and ask, the also have the players there to download so you can download the whole thing again.

Right click on My computer, go to properties. Click the hardware tab, click on device manager. Find your sound device on the list right click, and update drivers. Have windows find the drivers automatically by searching the C drive. Don't have windows search online though.

Go to start / tools or accessories/ and look for application recovery and look for you sound driver and reinstall it.Or look for your PC doctor and do a audio test and what ever is messed up will give you a list and you can reinstall the driver there.Happened to me but a virus took my sound out and this is what i did to fix the problem.Good Luck,If you need more help send me a mess

Hi thr, just try installing sound drivers with the help of driver CD u must be having with PC. I think this may solve the problem.

Make use of your motherboard CD. Install the sound driver using the motherboard CD. this will solve the proble. If this cannot be done try re installing your OS

1 go to DEVICE MANAGER through the CONTROL PANEL
2 after that double click on the device that isnt functioning
3 next, click on ROLL BACK DRIVER in the window that opens

Go to your control panel and choose to uninstall the program. Then reinstall the program.
