Those over the counter products just don't seem to work. Any suggestions?

My Dr. had recommended using a couple of drops of vegetable/olive or other food safe oil in your ears each night for approximately a week. It loosens the wax and actually surfaces and comes out. Been there and done that..........it actually worked!

your doctor can prescribe ear drops that soften ear wax
if they are really impacted he may have to do a bulb syringe irrigation
may people who have recurring excessive ear wax have to have this done periodically
you should never insert anything into your ears your self
you could cause an infection
perforate your ear drum and cause loss of hearing in the ear

A few drops of a solution of 50% hydrogen perxiode and water drop it into your ear canal let it set for a minute laying on your side. You'll hear it fizzing away...then clean out your ear with a q-tip. Don't put the q-tip down your ear canal though as you may injure your ear canal. This always disolves ear wax, very quickly. Hope this helps.

Just be careful not to loosen it and not flush it out. If it packs at the bottom it can cause infection and a lot of misery
