Using filtered tap water works just as well as store bought water.. sometimes even better. watch the labels! look for "Reverse Osmosis" (those are the best), but most bottled water will be "spring water".. which means it has the same impurities as tap water. your choice.

If you check a lot of bottled water is no different than tap water. The best for the price to get filtered water is to but a filter. You can get filters that seet on your counter (like a pitcher) or attached to your faucet or install in your water line. Other than that we have found good deals on Ice Mountain when on sale just to have for when the power goes out.

I usually go to a water store...there's lots of them here in los angeles and buy it 20 cents a gallon. I try not to drink the tap water here. I was working with a saleman who sold water purifiers. We sold some 3 of them in this apt. building here in LA. A few months later the people called to complain that the filters weren't working so we went to thier apartments to check. We took the filters apart and found that they were plugged up with this stuff that looked like red mud, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. My friend told me that it was rust from the pipes in the building. We put one filter inside a plastic bag and showed it to people for at our sales presentations.

Most bottled waters are simply city water that has been processed with a reverse osmosis filter. Buy yourself a good quality water bottle and fill it at home with filtered (Brita/Pur) tap water.

Are you talkin' gallons or pints? Wally world has a good price on gallon jugs. Nestle has an excellent tasting pint, which comes by the case.
