Ive taken zoloft for years. Missing one dose has caused a lot of problems with me and my emotional state. It isnt good to do that because you throuw your whole system off for weeks, and that is why they say that prescriptions usually take 4-6 weeks to kick in or whatever time frame: so that your body can get used to it, and the inhibitors within the drug can take it's sweet time to effect your brain and fill in the chemical imbalances. I also take thyroid pills and I get knocked off course if I miss one dose, and it lasts a couple weeks for me (even if I continue taking it again) to even get back to normal, and I feel down and depresed the entire time. it isnt worth it, try your hardest to remember to take them, especially zoloft, you dont want to continue feeling miserable until your body gets back on course, do you? That is why you are taking them in the first place. Ty and think of ways you can remember to take them, I have so many pills it's gotten easier for me to remember, but missing a dose can really mess up your mind and cause your body to slow down with whatever is going on that you need it. Good luck, Ive been in the same boat for 12 years

Yes. If even one dose is missed, you can and most likely will see a difference. I am horrible at taking pills, so what I did was buy a pill container with the days of the week on it. I keep it right by my kitchen sink (close to the coffee!) so I will not forget to take them. I take Lexipro for the same thing you have and when I miss a day or two, I definitely feel the difference. Just pick up where you left off and do what ever is necessary in order to make taking your med's easy. Good luck!

That would not be smart if you are taking a prescription and if they are antibiotics because if you stop taking them before they are finished the infection or illness can come back to something worse and you would be in trouble. Most prescriptions are 7 -10 days unless otherwise stated by your doctor. If your meds are not helping you talk to your pharmacist or doctor.

If you miss a dose...

Take the forgotten dose as soon as you remember. If several hours have passed, skip the dose. Never try to "catch up" by doubling the dose.

Zoloft is serious stuff, be careful!

You would be better off skipping all days of your Zoloft prescription. Flush that stuff down the toilet. You will be a much happier and healthier individual if you accept me as your Lord and Savior.

It is never good to skip a day on any prescription.

why would you skip? Are you a doctor? Have you graduated from pharmacy school? Take all your medicine as prescribed. Why screw around with it and skip a day? What is the point of that?

You might get a headache or feel sick, but I guess it would be ok. Check out the zoloft site for problems
