I got it last year, aged 25.
I'm not sure how i managed to get it. It's hard to tell since the incubation period takes up to 20 days :/

Yes its still around most times once you have it your immune to it, but some people can get it more then once. Sometimes parents would actual take their child to someone house who had the Chicken Pox because it was seen as better if you just got it and it was over. I had it when I was about 9 or 10, I missed a week of school, but I got to rent all this movies so besides itching it was pretty nice.

Shingles comes from the same virus that Chicken pox does (varicella zoster) mostly adults get it, but on occasion children can get it.

Yes, people still get them. Still makes the round through school children here in the midwest, anyway. Chicken pox is simply a virus that is spread.

Hi!
Chicken Pox is a form of the Herpes Virus. It is highly contagious and is still very much alive. Outbreaks in pre-school and elementary school are common.

yes, people go get them. sometimes they are called shingles. Now a days babies are given a vacine for chicken pox. Years ago, there was no vacine. I had the chicken pox twice. This diease is very contagious. You get blisters on your body that are very painfull and itchy, you run a high fever. best not to expose yourself to anyone who has this disease.
