HALF life is the time taken by a radioactive substance to decay half of its mass. So if a radioactive substance of 20 kg is decaying then its half life will be the time it took to decay 10 kg. Hope you understood it.
SO for 100mg half life = time taken to metabolise 50 mg
and for 50 mg half life = time taken to metabolise 25 mg
