to find the answer to your question you must first ask the right question! Christianity is not a religion so to speak, it is a relationship with a living and active Person (Christ). Today, people get caught up in this religion thing. Religion is a lot of tradition, rituals and stuff like that. True Christianity is none of those things. We real Christians have a personal relationship with our Savior. To get to know this Savior one only needs to read the Bible, and call out to Him. Trust me when I tell you, He will answer you. You might want to start with the Book of John. That will explain alot of things to you about the Person of Christ of Whom Christianity is based.

This word has been misused and manipulated so much that it is almost unrecognizable by society these days. New age believers and many others such as LDS and JW like to attach themselves to this term, yet are not following the christian doctrine. The true christian religion is the trinty as the core and the teaching of the bible as the word. Jesus as the only door to heaven and only sacrafice given for sin of man. This belief makes christianity what it is. Other faiths rely upon their earning their way to heaven or becoming a god of their own planet. Or others down play the role of Jesus and make him a wise leader. To be christian is to know Jesus died for our sins to reconcile us to God and only through HIm are we able to approach God and heaven.

this is a biased question.

you wish to preclude all other "non-christian" religions in the quest for being "the true religion." not fair, if i may reply to your open question.

i'd say, it doesn't matter. what matters is, you live your life everyday striving to become a better person (in thought and action, especially in service to your community) in every way you can, and hope to inspire others to likewise yet inspire others.

what is the true christian religion? can an honest, responsible buddhist answer that, too?

I believe it is Jehovah's Witnesses but you can test for yourself using these guidelines:
1.) It practices love--rather than killing one another, true Christians are willing to die for one another.
2.) It trusts God's word--rather than teaching traditions and commands of men, it looks to the Bible for answers and guidance.
3.) It strengthens families and upholds high moral standards.

Religion is man seeking God, Christianity is God seeking man. I'm a Christian not a lutheran, baptist, pentecostal...

That is a contradiction in terms. There is no truth in religion.
