For several months my life has been in flux. I was embarking on a different path, but I was still holding on to my preexisting path, because I was afraid of where the new path would lead me. Now during this time I felt my head wanted to roll off my shoulders, my eyes ached. The food I put into my mouth had no taste, orseemed bland. My stomach was sour, and I felt dizzy contstantly. My skin crawled with frustration, and no matter how much rest I got I still felt exhausted. Everything seemed empty. As a result everything around me begin to deteriorate. My 3 year old was nasty, and uncooperative. My 14 year old was stricken with headaches everyday. My husband retreated into work. And every negative person I could encounter came out of the wood works. Water was literally coming out of the walls of my house, and I found myself cleaning sewage off the floors from overflowing toilets, and bad pipes. The car broke down, you name it. I felt like I was on fire.

How else could you describe what I went through except to call it hell. Do you think that maybe this was the bible suggested, and it was the only way to define mans personal conflict into words?

Hello fryedaddy! All of us are energy and project energy. Your negative energy was like a magnet, drawing other negative people and events to you. We can make our car break down and house catch on fire if we are negative enough. We can make our loved ones sick too.

The flip side is positive energy. If we consciously put positive energy out we draw positive people and events to us. Our house and car will run great. So since you did your experiment in negative energy and how it works already, try positive energy now!

I know everybody suggests you read books so can I recommend one? It made a difference in how I think. It is not Buddhist but is more 'new-age' but is, I thought, very good.

My first experiments in getting my own energy cranked up and positive amazed me. People smiled back and were calm around me. My family thrived. Even my cats glow with well being. My house withstood Hurricane Katrina without losing a shingle when I read that only 10% of the dwellings here were undamaged after the storm.

Well anyway, have a great day!

It's an interesting question. The classic notions of heaven and hell are fictitous -- there is no evidence to suggest the actual existence of either. But your life has certainly had its hellish aspects. You are, of course, not unique in this respect: everyone has had his bad days. I was cheated out of a million dollars, so instead of living a life of comfort, I live a life of adequacy, but I have friends and loved ones and interesting things to do, such as write for this forum. I have three bits of advice: live each day to the fullest that you can -- be nice to your bratty kids, no matter how much you would like to throttle them. Take your husband out for dinner some evening and then go for a walk in the park. And, if you can't get the plumbing fixed, MOVE!

Heaven and Hell are real places not words to describe man's situation. The Lord clearly points this out during his last words to his disciples before the cross. (John 15-17) There is a literal hell reserved for all those who have rejected Christ as savior. Heaven is a place where God dwells in which the saints, those who have accepted Christ's free gift of salvation, live in peace and worship the Lamb who lives forever and ever. Amen!!

Hell is a place of torment for sin and Heaven is a place of peace for those who know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

I have been through those personal hells in life. God showed me something that without trials and tests in our lives we would not grow in Him.
I use to search for the answers in a lot of different areas but only He had the answers, He does not promise an easy walk, but He promises a joyful walk

Heaven is God's dwelling place and the center of his government--the place of his throne. Hell is the common grave of mankind not a place of burning, firey torment. Sounds like you had several bad months but it would be a mistake to blame it on God. Nothing bad ever originated with God.

In Jesus' name, I ask that God rebuke any spirits that are not of God that are coming against you. I ask that He reveal to you the plan He has for you. I ask that Jesus come into your heart and life and that your path be made clear by the revelation of the most High God.

I believe you have been under spiritual attack because the enemy knows you are about to slip out of His hands and into the eternal keeping of the Father, by way of faith in His son.

So it seems reality shaped itself to suit your mood.
But I don't think that's what is meant in the Bible, I have the feeling "hell" in the biblical sense of the word is to be taken quite literally.
