It's only natural to still have feelings of some sort for an ex. It' doesnt matter how long you have been seperated. He will always carry round a small piece of your heart. You have shared alot of stuff together and been through things together so it's only natural to feel this way.
My best advice is to give yourself some time, I am not talking days here, I am talking at least a couple of more months before takiang the plung with your new boyfriend.
To this day, i can hear my first boyfriends name and my heart still does a little flip flop even though i am happily married. No, i don't love and wouldnt be with him, it's just that little piece of my heart that's missing that he has is saying something to me.
Hope that helps.

that is really bad. you shouldn't get into a new relationship if you haven't really moved on. you'll really hurt the on you are with right now. but you should still tell him. the truth hurts for a while but a lie would hurt forever. confess to him and tell him that it is unfair if you would stay in a relationship with him and your heart is still loving someone else. after you do that. try to let go of the past. if your ex is not meant to be yours. there's nothing you could do, even if you love him so much. stop expecting if there's nothing more to expect.

I wouldn't tell him it is because of your Ex. Be honest, say you can't be in a relationship right now or any time soon. Tell him you are very confused about who you are and what you want. Start out by thanking him for being such an awesome, understanding guy, make him feel good about himself.

if you don't have any contact with your ex, you should try to leave him in the past where he belongs. It's not him you miss. You miss the feeling you had for him. Or the atmosphere he created for you. Nothing will ever be the same, but it can get better if you let it. If you live in the past, you stopped living.

I'm sorry to say that the love really never goes away. Every love is different. Why is he an "ex"? Just keep that in mind and eventually, it won't hurt so much.
