No. It isn't illegal because we have freedom of religion.

I don't understand why you think it would be illegal. Assuming you still live in the area that your profile indicates, then this would fall under laws about private property. Despite all the intrusion into civil liberty in the last few years, there are still certain freedoms protected in the US. What you choose to display in your home is your business. Displayin a copy of the sacred text of a particular religious group is not illegal.

It's not illegal. It's in your own house. I leave my bible out with my rosary pamphlets out all the time. It's your house, your space. No one comes in without your invitation. At least, here in America where I live. I'm not sure about other parts of the world, laws can be different. However, as far as I know, having the Qu'ran out on your table in your house is perfectly legal.

Not in the USA. Maybe where you are from it is. We have religious freedom here. And freedom of speech and expression.
Most Americans would ignore them though. They might even get a little bit angry at you and not come to your home anymore, due to the current world situation. Because of the 911 attacks, most Americans are down on Muslims. Your best bet, if you are trying to ease tensions is to simply answer questions if asked. And answer them honestly. But do not be pushy, Americans HATE pushy people.

Is this a joke question.......or are you posting from a very, uuuhhhh, "restrictive", conservative section of the world? Can you clarify the reason for your question?---I'm curious....
I'm a Goddess-worshipping Pagan in the US, and have a number of books on Islam around....also multiple translations of the Jewish and Christian Scriptures, books on Wicca, statues of Kwan Yin (the Buddhist goddess of mercy), books and pamphlets on atheism....and quite a lot on other religions, too.
The reaction of my friends and visitors?---"Hey, great library; can I borrow this.....?"
And if anyone protested (can't imagine why), they'd get a very cold "go re-read the US Constitution, especially the First Amendment" (protecting freedom of religion, speech, and the press, amongst others).

Not in your own home. If you live in the states, you're allowed to leave them in public places as well. Christians do it all the time. Unless, of course, they are threatening in nature. I have received pamphlets from Christians that could be construed as threatening. But otherwise, it's not illegal.

Illegal to what? If you will consider littering, then you are accountable, better take all your belongings, because people moving in will surely wants everything newly cleaned and nobody wants other people's possession to be left there. And it is in some other people's tradition to decide whatever first thing they are going to bring into their new place. You have to respect that.

Once the government legislates and bans ownership of Quran then it will be illegal.

Having the literature is certainly not illegal in itself - you are able to read whatever you wish to read.
There could be somethign wrong if you have gotten them for a specific reason - if you are using them to base some racist movement then you could be in trouble.

Apparently, by your postings that you must be of the Muslim Faith and that you want everyone to respond to your queries....
No, its not illegal. But, you may not get much company, other than fellow Muslims if you were openly brazen about being of that faith, in the conditions that the World is now...
I wish you well..
