hay Jess why pay for high lites instead of wiping your bogie's on your mums chair put them in your hair then you will have a green effect lololol

If you have dark brown hair DO NOT get platinum highlights. They will look super fake against your dark natural color and you'll have to get touch ups very frequently. Go to a salon to get this done. Ask for wide panels of light brown highlights in your hair. This will lift the dark color but not make it impossible to upkeep. It will also look natural, like you've spent time out in the sun. Please don't get the cookie cutter highlight job that everyone gets.

Try L'Oreal Colour Experte. It's a DIY highlighting for a range of different hair colour. I've used it and never had a problem.

i have dark hair too! snap! i either go for a few blondes or caramels with a bit of a darker colour to just to really help pick all the colours out! and sometimes i have had the odd bit of red or purple in to, just to be different! x

a golden blonde colour looks gorgeous on dark brown hair.

i think you should have sfun with it! i also have dark brown hair and i put thin blonde streaks in it a few weeks ago it may sound a bit scary but it comes out well. in the past ive also found red hilights to work really well too. :D

reds and purples look good in dark brown hair. and they dont look bad as they grow out.
bleaching blonde highlights in your will make it dry.

Dark brown hair you can do a carmel color or even some red.

get it done professionally with light caramel colored highlights - it will look beautiful. dont go with blond highlights - they look so fake and tacky.

hey get it done at the salon or you will have brassy streaks which will look totally blah but you could use one of the loreal expertise ones with blonde streaks that could look cute x
