No matter what secular society tells you Evolutionists have absoulutly 0 evidence in there favor. If you really get into you find all their evidence was made or miss diagnosed. Believing in evolution is as much of faith based as any other religion.

I paid attention in science class. I don't ever recall science as saying monkey, so why do people persist in saying that?
My research has led me to this conclusion:
The Creation story, as presented in the Christian bible, that most of us think about is in two parts; 1. God creates the race of men, along with animals, tells them to be fruitful and multiply 2. God creates Adam, the caretaker of Eden and later Eve, the people from whom the Jews and Muslims trace back their lineage.
If anyone reading the bible was paying attention, Cain after he slew Able fled, met up with a different group of people and took a wife.
If according to the commonly held belief God only made Adam and Eve there would have been no other people for Cain to meet up with.
I personally do not believe in the created the world in 6 days scenario, and believe it was how the people of that time rationalized how things came to be.

I say that the answer to that question depends upon who's asking (the question is at the heart of the debate between creation and evolution).
On the (strict) creation side: the answer is that the first man was indeed man.
On a less strict creation side: some would say that the first "man" might not resemble man as he is today, but the soul has been the same.
On the evolution side: the answer is we evolved. Most likely from the apes.

Ok I have a background in Anthropology and I am a Christian..some people may think that they would be in conflict with one another but I do not think so. It is not a monkey as you stated but a common ancestor such as Lucy and the new remains they found recently. Man is much older than that and I think that the process of making man was not an overnight thing and we have no concept of the length of a day in God's time. It all happened as it is stated in the Bible but gradually and not all at once. God did make us in human form but not instantly. That is my take on the whole thing.

The first man was not a monkey. The first monkey was a monkey. The first man was a man. You need to tell you teacher to do a little research, and do a little research yourself.

as for the monkey your teacher seems to be ignorant and doesnt even know what she's talking about.
even those who believe in evolution dont believe that the first man was a monkey.

Whatever you believe, the first man was undoubtebly a man (otherwise he wouldn't be a man would he?), But seriously, if you want to believe a 2000 year old book thats your choice. All it means is more jobs available for my friends who are biologists.

First man was a man or a woman. He or she was niether a monkey nor a prophet.
I'm not sure that a vote count is a good way to solve a scientific or religious question

This is not a religious question. It is scientific fact that humans evolved about 120,000 years ago (that is, homo sapiens). We evolved from apes. The apes then split into what can be grouped as apes and monkeys. We are apes, not monkeys.
