Mine used to turn itself off while I was watching it, and at first it really freaked me out because I was home by myself. And no lights or anything else electrical was affected. One night my daughter was home with me and it happened. We both looked at each other thinking the other one had the remote and had turned it off, but the remote was sitting on the table. This hasn't happened in several yrs now.
