I know going on the pill made me gain some weight, but I also have problems with food. I try to stay away from fast food as much as possible, and can even go weeks without eating it. But the minute I eat a cheeseburger or french fries, I feel so guilty. I want to try to lose at least 40 pounds so I can be at least a healthy weight. The doctor told me I am slightly overweight for being 5'6. If anyone has any food ideas, or exercise tips, please help me out!! I want to try to lose weight by my 21st birthday which is the end of January.

Plus I'm out of a job, so money is tight. Anything I can do that doesn't require me to spend any money is a plus.

well I as well am 5'6 I was 169lbs two weeks ago so it's an identical situation. I started two weeks ago going to the gym and exercising. cardio 2 times a week and random exercises 3 times a week as well as a healthy diet (not perfect diet but better than before) now in only two weeks I'm 161lbs that's a huge improvement. After that I'm motivated to stick to it. Try it for 2 weeks it will be tough for sure but you'll be so happy with the results you'll keep going

Hey, stop being so drastic. I am 5 foot 4 and am 138 pounds which is about 10 stone. According to the body mass i'm overweight and I always feel guilty after eating any fast food but I havn't eat anything like that in 6 weeks. Fast food doesn't make you put on weight if you are sensible with portions and choose something low on calories. If you like Mc D's then check out the website - really there is a meal with only 600 calories in and you get coke. That is anothe point choose low calorie drinks as well. Dun worry - I think you should check out your home eating first before acting, and check with the doctor if there is another pill he can give you, some make you eat less and make you feel full. I wish you luck.

No Fast Food. Study South Beach Diet. They know what they're doing. Helped me. Read labels and go low sugar. A good thing I did was stop eating pork and beef. Wow, what a difference. Also go to health food store or on line buy a colen cleanse. Awesome. All this with a little exercise and you will be on your way to feeling and looking great. Be sure that if you find yourself not wanting to workout, get an active job so you will keep away from too much food and get movin' to burn calories. Keep in mind that if you want that food, like fries(no nutrition,by the way) that you have already eaten it before and you know how it tastes and it will always be there, Then say NO to it. If you cut out of your diet beef, pork, and french fries that's your fast food budget and hello waistline! : )

The best advise i can give you is well get moving i know blunt but listen before i had my eating disorder i would play sports or basically do stuff i like to do. If you like to play a sport well get a friend and play. If you like to shop well park aways from the mall or shopping place and walk. If you are really flexible do gymnastics, or palotis or yoga. But what ever do, do not starve your self. See people want to say if help yeah just skip meal every day and you are okay well DONT what you are actually doing is slowing your motabilism and making it try to keep the energy it has so it doesnt die what you are basicly doing to your self is killing yourself.I have never done it but my friends have and they didnt like the outcome, you might become more tired, less energy, etc. Trust me eating disordres are not fun. some other things you can do is well you could 5 small healthy meals a day but you still need to keep moving you eat every 3 hours like salad, uh sandwhich, small things. But the big thing is to keep moving it is the only way to help you matabolism burn the carbohydrate that you eat everyday and the thing is the more you eat of carbohydrates or carbs the more you have to keep moving or you can turn all the bad pounds into good pound by gaining mussle. hope i helped but if i made your self esteem drop i am really sorry cause that was not my intention i was trying to help. :) and GOOD LUCK!

Your not going to loose any weight by not eating. Your body will just store what ever it can get. Honestly not a good idea. I'm in the same boat as you are... 5'6 170lb. Another thing, just because the doc says your overweight for your height, isn't necessarily true.. it depends on your built. Try eating 5 times a day, breakfast, snack *healthy*, lunch, snack, dinner. Walk or run 30 min, 3 to 5 times a week. Drink lots of water. Have protein with every meal and cut back on high starch products. Don't do the frozen dinners, cut back on butters. Its OK to eat sweets but just do it smart. Limit your meal size, if your going to have red meat remember it should be the size of you palm. Oh and eat as many fruits as possible. Talk to your doc about taking some type of healthy supplements, like a fat burner, or something for your muscles. Best of luck!! You can do it!!! I'm with ya!!

"Weight Watchers" is the best thing I've found so far. I've also been trying to lose weight for a while now (56 pounds down, yay!), and WW Online works like a charm. It's not a diet, it's more of a lifestyle. It's not a quick fix, but it's steady - and more importantly - permanent. I lose about a pound a week, and if I "mess up" and pig out, I usually don't gain anything back. Try it!

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

I'm being straight with you. I work in an office building that's mostly women. They're all eating less at meals to lose weight, but........they eat candy every few hours, every day. If you want to lose weight, don't cheat by eating candy all the time.

Simple formula,
eat less large meals throughout the day, instead eat many small ones.
More fruits/veggies.
Get a supplement pill such as hydroxycut or TrimSpa if you plan on exercising.
