evil is relative. God is beyond opposites. the lion shall lie with the lamb. Well when a lion is eating a lamb they are both lying down. Is the lion bad NO the lion is being a good lion he is acting like a lion. He is only bad to the sheep. If the lion ate grass he would be a very bad lion. Humans on the other hand have more than instinct. When humans act like animals they are being bad humans. When humans act from there higher chakras love compassion selflessness they are being good humans. Some people are born without this brain function or have some sort of brain damage that makes them act like animals. They are not bad they are sick.
Bad is relative. Evil is beyond culture and society. Some things are just evil. Some things are taboo depending on the culture. We all know what evil is. If we dont then we have brain damage.

I think god is waiting for us all to understand that there is no such thing as evil. All things are just that - things. We put labels onto them - we decide which is holy and which is evil, me make the distinction between good and bad - it's all just stuff to god. It is the motivation in our heart that causes us to do evil things - otherwise it is just a mistake, right?
And I, for one, am a little tired of that old "Without bad we wouldn't know what good is" line. That's a bunch of bull. It is easy to recognize good and it is possible to go through life with no evil - though that is not to say it will always be easy.
Peace!

i am not quite sure this is complete but this is what i've discovered/believed in uo till now.
4rm the beginningGod was love. no-one can have love unless they give it/share it.
God then decided that a portion of Himself should BECOME the Universe in the form of individual souls that learn of love & how 2 give love.
within the souls of men, we have created "evil" 4rm our own minds. we decide 2 manipulate kill, destroy, etc.
Thus God is responsible 4 man's creation, and man is responsible 4 "evil"'s creation.
It may seem logical 2 trace it all back 2 God who knew what would happen. I think God knows that however, wretched a suffering we create 4 each other, one way or another we have 2 learn how 2 co-create this experience in harmony. This is why.

Evil is much more ancient than the space-time contnuum.
Evil was not created in the sense you use. Ezekiel 28 hints of Lucifer's fall.
Thus says the Lord God:
"You were the seal of perfection,
Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
You were in Eden, the garden of God;
Every precious stone was your covering:
The sardius, topaz, and diamond,
Beryl, onyx, and jasper,
Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold.
The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes
Was prepared for you on the day you were created.
"You were the anointed cherub who covers;
I established you;
You were on the holy mountain of God;
You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.
You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created,
Till iniquity was found in you"
Evil is refusing to fulfill the purpose to which you have been created, or desiring more than what grace has provided.
Time is a created element of eternity which demonstrates to creatures in all realms the nature of love and redemption. Evil is a temporary derivative of the plan of the ages.

Well since God created the angels and Satan was a fallen angel then yes God created sin. It was not an accident. There must be a test of faith in order for faith to become stronger. Even Jesus was led to be tempted to prove himself worthy. Satan has his job and he does it well. He wanders to and fro about his business of testing souls and putting your soul through the fire. If you come out of the fire with a stronger faith then you are a better Christian and have acheived greater purification. Like gold, it takes fire to remove the impurities and make it perfect. The same thing applies to your soul. If you cannot pass the temptations and tests, then your faith is not very strong and you are not doing what you should be.

Evil does not have it's origin in God. Evil came into the world when Lucifer(sp?) wanted to become higher than God. IN doing so he took 1/3 of the angels of heaven and waged a war with God and His angels. In response to his disobidience God sent Lucifer (sp?) down from Heaven. Lucifer's main goal was to become higher than God and in doing so, he rebelled against Him. It may seem that since God created Lucifer then therefore evil has it's origin in God but, Lucifer made the descision to alienate himself from God by wanting to be higher than him, therefore, God could did not create evil, Lucifer did.
Finally sin, evil and freedom of choice entered the world when Satan tempeted Adam and Eve with the forbidden fruit, allowing sin to enter into the world. And then us humans took it to a whole other level.

Evil is the absense of good. God is good. So evil is the absense of God.
Satan fell from heaven when he rebelled against God. He is absent from God.
Man fell when he rebelled against God. God withdrew from man.
Evil exists only in the absence of God.
Mankind is seperated from God without faith, thus mankind is evil.
If you haven't noticed, we are pretty busy kicking God out of just about everywhere.

Very interesting question.
What caused the "change of heart" in the fallen angel to make him reject God and pursue evil? How did he come to covet evil ways?
This is one of the best questions seen in R&S for some time.

Evil is the absence of God.
What's outside of the Universe? Absence. God is (metaphorically speaking) the Universe. Evil is outside of it.
