Absolutely. It happens every year, but it is not automatic and requires a lot of additional paperwork, as well as General Officer endorsement.

Well lets put it this way. The Marines don't have anything to prohibit a West Point Grad from joining; but being a West Point Grad doesn't mean you're qualified for the Marines. You'll have to earn that right just like everyone else. Good Luck!

a VERY small percentage of one Military Acadamy's graduates may petition for Commissioning into a different Branch. But for the most part, West Point Grads become Army Officers only.

If you want to a be a Marine Offcier via the Academy route, than you want to attend the US Naval Acedemy in Annapolis. that is where Marine Officers are commissioend from via Academy sources.
