This means that John was washed clean of original sin (he did not need Baptized.) St. John the Baptist and the Blessed Virgin Mary were the only 2 HUMANS (this excludes Jesus since he is true God and true man) who were BORN (John was conceived with original sin, but Mary was'nt) without original sin.

I think it happened becasue the Bible said it did. Miracles in the Bible are frequent.

My wife is pregnant right now, and early in pregnancy before the sex is determinable, she knew it was a boy based on "feelings". Sure enough, she's right....

Things like that happen.
