make acut around the back of the dorsal fin or top spike leave the billie skin intact and bend the head down pullig back to the tail the guts should pull out with the head then use pliers to pull the rest of skin off

i know a lot of people skin catfish, but it's a lot more fun to just filet them, especially the 2-4 pounders.

fillet them and leave the fillet attached then take a sharp knife and lay flat and saw back and forth removeing the meat from the skin
