I'm a beer girl myself, but recently I'm trying to tone up some body parts, but still want to be able to have an occasional drink without feeling like it's all going to my waist. Know any good drinks?

Sorry, Alcohol = Calories. So don't let anybody tell you otherwise. Most liqour drinks are fat free except for the coffee drinks which adds cream or Baileys.

Beer is high in calories because of the sugar in addition to alcohol. If you want to enjoy a drink here and there and not pick up too much calories. Stick with vodka, rum and whisky.
Stay away from coke, sour and tonic mixers as they have a good amount of sugar content. Good Luck.

Bourbon & Water is good: try Kentucky Tavern, its light & inexpensive--but if you are ordering at a bar, order Jim Beam or Maker's Mark & water.

Also, no TONIC--soda water is no cal./ tonic is high calorie--dont confuse the two.

So, white wine and club soda with a lime/lemon is lite/ low cal.

Those are my 2 "diet drinks" when I try to diet.

And if you want beer, drink Miller Light instead of Mich Ultra--its the lightest-yet-full-flavor beer and not much more than Mich Ultra, which tastes like water and goes down like water, and you may drink alot more of it...where Miller Light tastes more like a real beer.

Here is a good website to compare cal/carbs:

That's tough, because alcohol has the same number of calories per gram as fat (I believe both have 11cal per gram). Your best bet is a white wine spritzer using a dry wine. It has the least amount of sugar and therefore the least calories. Also no carbs.

Diet Coke & Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum. Only calories you get are from the Rub. Which has zero carbs/sugar. so good for the atikins friendly dieters.
