He hurt is leg about a month ago while jumping. I used ice on it immediately, then followed up with warm water 3 times daily. After about a week he seemed to be back to normal. Hes seemed fine for about a month or so, but now he his limping again with the same leg. He is a 7 month old pittbull/rotweiler mix

I just took a dog to the vet this morning for limping for 3 days on and off. The vet said her toe nail has been injured and she is now on antibiotics and a pain killer for 10 days. Have you checked for anything unusual on or in between the pads....it is fox tail season and she might have one creeping up inside the foot. It could be many things...arthritis maybe but I would have it checked out. Good Luck

You have to be careful with puppies because they can re injure them selves pretty fast and just like when us as humans bite our lip in the same place many times... Puppies can do the same thing. Try if you can to feel your pups leg and see if there are any sore spots. If there is gently feel if there is swelling. If you find any I would call the vet and see what they say. If you dont find anything then just watch your pup. Maybe he just wants more attention. I really suspect though that he re injured something and may need to be seen. Good Luck. I hope he gets well soon.

I would suggest that you have a vet check him out. Could be a sprain that he had initially and reinjured. Or something more sinister.. fracture and the like. At any rate he is probably in considerable discomfort and should be seen by a vet. If you are able to restrict his running around that would help for the time being. Good luck.

Take him to the vet. A x-ray would be good. My cat is going through the same thing right now and I have him set up to go on monday.

Maybe it's not the original injury? Check in the pad up in his paw...maybe he has something on his foot.
