i'm really interested in learning photography, i wanna master my digital camera...i have canon powershot A540. tell me some tricks and tips to take good pictures. you know, like the rule of third or something like that. thanks :)

Play in the manual mode (M) for a while and play with the apature and shutter speed. Even on the simpleist digi camera you can get good results. Cannon should give you some pretty good ones. If you can't figure out how to adjust the apature to the shutter speed play in (A) and see how the apature works and then (S) and play with shutter speeds. Once you see what they can do then try the (M) mode.
Digitals arn't that hard to learn on. Look at the liberary for some books too.

you can learn just from your experience.
enter forums, sign to on'line free magazine, upload your photos to webshots, flicker etc.
see - and get response how your photos are.
improve them by photo-shop or other programs.
you can find many sites on the net.
and as you have digital camera, you can take many photos -and than delete them.
but - if you have imaginary head - the sky is the limit.
and don't afraid to take unusual photos.
no good - delete them.
just take care of the battery and enough card storage.

i no it hard but once you get in soo awesome !! try look for any kind of basics photography book any Will do wounder i Larine lot from so many different book!!
