Mine love it as a treat - it's just fish with added oil so, as long as they don't over do it on the oil (yuck smelly littertrays) they will be fine.
Mine also like it in tomato sauce & go mad when I open a tin & I generally end up sharing. Good job I don't eat it every day.
However, I'd avoid giving them any fish that is in brine as too much salt would be bad for them.

People I know who trap cats to get them spayed and neutered often use mackeral to bait the traps because it is so smelly and attractive to cats.
I guess I can assume you don't have that every day and would not be feeding it to the kittens every day. Go to www.littlebigcat.com and read Dr. Jean Hovfe's article titled, "Why fish is dangerous for cats". It is the next to last article in the series.
As I was raised in the land-locked Midwest I never developed a taste for fish and don't have tuna, mackeral or such around my house and have never been tempted to feed it to my cats.

Of course the cat will love this stuff. As a treat.....it's quite rich. may give a little intestinal upset in large amounts. I often use this to trap strays.....it is simply a good smelly enticement. I give it to my own cats occasionally. Mackerel is a good thing.

Leave the fish in oil to grown cats. I feed mine tinned fish preserved in water only. Too much oil may make them throw up.

Cats are extremely intelligent and know what is good for them.
That is why my neighbours cat stays away from me now.
Apart from raiding the nests of our dwindling bird population they also fish in people's ponds, Which are a haven to natural wildlife.
It will probably leave you anyway after you take it to the vets to have its reproductive system cut out .but you'll probably be bored of it by then anyway So nobody wins.
Thanks

I gave mine canned mackerel in water when she was 5 weeks old (twice a day) - she has food allergies. Now she eats its once a day. It's rich in protein (they need).

Yes. The fish is nothing but pure protein and Omega fats, both very good. And the olive oil it's in is also healthy (a good fat).

You can give them a little but if you feed large amounts can cause malnutrition, since it lacks proper levels of vitamins and minerals.
Please read the listed link, this is a good site to get a correct answer when it comes to your pets, (O:
