I like the image! But maybe, since a leaf of Dionaea (the flytrap) doesn't really have saliva (well, not EXACTLY, anyways), it might need the addition of a little moisture to get a good popping effect. But it shouldn't kill the plant (unless it blows its leaves off!). However, it's true that plants eat mainly to get nitrogen compounds like those in protein, or a little cheese, or a bug, or a tiny piece of tofu maybe (or cottage cheese or yogourt). So put some of this in with the popping candy, to give your pet plant a balanced meal!

you can feed it popping candy but it will just turn yellow and die later on that night i got a couple of them myself and did it a week ago.

No,No,No - You stupid buffoon, It is a carnivorous plant - it eats meat. Give it a steak and ale pie but not candy. Hopefully it will become large enough to eat you... Is it called Seymore?

U can but it won't do it any good, it doesn't have the nutrients that an insect contains! I'd love to see what happens though!

if you want to keep your flytrap in peak condition, then only feed
it flies, spiders etc. you can also feed it small pieces
of raw meat

No - you'll kill it unless it has the nutrients it needs e.g. from flies.
