My cat peed in my house last night (not in the litter box) and now the house reeks of it, it's disgusting. What can I do to get rid of it?

Thanks so far, I'll try the vinegar thing when I find it.

I don;t want to get rid of him because he's never done that before. I think it's because I was gone for two days in a row and only stopped home a couple time for a few hours before leaving again.

It really upsets him when I leave and I've never been gone that long while I've had him.

Urine Gone will permanently remove the urine. Anything else will just cause the urine to go into the carpet pad and the smell will keep coming back.

Buy some G.G. Bean Urine Kleen from the pet store. And do take kitty to the vet to find out why it happened. If she peed beside the box, she may just be psycho like my cat, who needs a covered box or she will hang her butt right over the side and pee on the floor, Nasty!

I have found the Zero Odor stuff you can order over the internet to be the most effective in eliminating urine smells. It does a better job than Nature's Miracle in my opinion.

If you can find the spot (and you will be able to), wash it down with a 1 part vinigar 4 parts warm water solution and let it dry. The smell will go and it will discourage the cat from doing it there again.

The best way is to train your cat to drop into the litter box. You can place lemon peel at the corner of the room, and use air freshener. remember, go for which is ozone friendly~
