This is a great and complex question, see my myspace blog for detailed evidence.
The physical world with solid matter and its diversity of forms including the physical body started with the big bang some 13.7 billion years ago. The physical world at a specific point in time such as NOW is an infinitely small slice of the big bang, like a slice of cheese, the moment of NOW represents a cross section.
As life in this physical world evolved to survive, such as locate food, reproduce, find shelter etc, it eventually became aware of itself by tapping into the broader universe (consciousness) as better way to survive. Specifically when life tapped the universe's consciousness, it did so as a means to adapt to changing circumstances and this gave life a significant advantage against chaos to flourish.
Consciousness didn't start with life; consciousness is a pattern whereby life becoming aware of the bigger universe, the cheese in the slice of NOW from the big bang. So consciousness can't die, because it isn't alive.
Are we consciousness of after the body is gone?
After the body is gone we are conscious of everything.
What do we experience?
We experience everything.
There is a sense of now?
No, because we are not bound by the universe's slice of cheese that defines NOW, now is a limitation of life in a body, not a limitation of consciousness.
When a drop of rain enters the ocean part of it looses its individual identity or shape as a drop (this is like loosing your body), but then the drop become indistinguishable from the ocean (the universe itself becomes your new body).
What is life after death – scientifically?
The universe exists in a broader context. When the big bang occurred, it happened as a result of a collision between something yin and something yang. The collision between these massive shapes created the big bang and emerged from that was physical universe we know today.
The something yin and something yang are the sperm and egg cells of our universe. I know this because of the holographic principle. When the big bang occurred 13.7 billion years ago, another form of life started, one that exists on a massive scale and now occupies the size of our entire universe.
When a drop of rain enters the ocean part of it looses its individual identity as a drop, but then the drop becomes indistinguishable from the ocean.
When you die, your consciousness becomes that consciousness; your body becomes that new body, which exists in an even broader universe on a space and timescale beyond our current comprehension.

Genesis says the Firmament, (Heaven), exists between the
"waters", forces of Creation. It is also know as the Astral Plane.
2 Corinthians 12. The "third" heaven.
The Astral is really three dimensions, just above our reality.
The soul is the same as the spirit, but a more "dense",
heavier type of spirit body. It is still influenced by other
things like forces and the whims of other spirits. We can do
many things in that form, but there are limitations.
Once we overcome these lower aspects of spiritual things, we evolve to the state of pure spirit. Which controls, by not trying to
control these things, rather than being controlled.
I feel Paul mentioned the progression up the spiritual planes when he said we are "changed into the same image from glory to
glory."

God can no longer wreck something he labored so complicated to create. interior the bible earth is now and back suggested as human beings. in case you think of back to while God delivered approximately his judgment in the worldwide it replaced into to wreck the ungodly human beings no longer the earth itself. think of back to while God destroyed the ungodly in the time of Noah's day via flood. The earth wasn't destroyed because of the fact after the waters subsided Noah and his relatives alongside with the animals got here out to dry land. God will wreck the ungodly and use the righteous to freshen up the earth bringing it to a Paradise. So the recent earth ability a sparkling society of persons and the recent heaven is speaking of a sparkling government, God's kingdom which will replace earthly rulership. If those texts (2 Peter 3:7, 10 and Revelation 21:a million) advise that the literal planet Earth is to be fed on via fireplace, then the literal heavens (the celebrities and different heavenly bodies) additionally are to be destroyed via fireplace. the form of literal view, regardless of if, conflicts with the insurance contained in such texts as Matthew 6:10, Psalm 37:29 and 104:5, additionally Proverbs 2:21, 22. apart from, what effect might fireplace have on the already intensely warm sunlight and stars? So the term “earth interior the above-quoted texts must be understood in a distinctive experience. At Genesis 11:a million, First Kings 2:a million, 2, First Chronicles sixteen:31, Psalm ninety six:a million, and so forth., the term “earth is utilized in a figurative experience, pertaining to mankind, to human society. might that be the case at 2 Peter 3:7, 10 and Revelation 21:a million?

The corruptible shall be raised incorruptible. We may have some type of body but I cannot say for sure it will be a fleshly body as we have now. but if you go to the scriptures it is said that when Jesus came back, he let the disciples touch Him to know that he had a physical body and he ate food too.

Let me assure you that the Bible teaches the life we live after we die will be real—just as real as this life, if not more so. We won't be in a state of dreamlike consciousness, but we will fully exist in body, mind and soul.
The pattern for this is Jesus Himself. When Jesus died on the cross and was laid in a tomb, His physical body was completely and absolutely dead. But He came back to life by the power of God—and when He did, He had a different type of body, without the limitations it once had. His resurrected body wasn't an illusion; it was a glorious and immortal body that was just as real as His earthly body had been.
And someday, if we know Christ, we too will be given new bodies—bodies like Christ's resurrected body. The Bible says, "So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable" (1 Corinthians 15:42). Our bodies in heaven will be real, and so will our whole existence. Only in this way will we be able to serve God.
But the real question is this: Are you ready for that day? Do you know—really know—that if you were to die tonight, you would go to be with Christ in heaven forever? You can know, by confessing your sins and your need of Christ, and trusting Him alone for your salvation. Salvation is real—and it can be yours by putting your faith and trust in Jesus Christ today.
The Bible tells us a glorious truth: Not only will our souls live forever, but if we know Christ, one day God will give us new bodies—bodies that will never perish, or ever experience sickness or pain again.
No, I can't imagine exactly what this will be like—but I know it's true, for God has promised it. When Christ rose from the dead, He had a new body—similar to what it had once been, and yet in other ways different. No longer was He limited by time and space, for example. The same will be true of us, for someday God "will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body" (Philippians 3:21).
Every obituary ... every cemetery ... every twinge of pain reminds us that someday this life will be over and we will enter eternity. Tragically, however, many people never think about death or bother to prepare for it. But denying it or ignoring it won't make it go away. The Bible warns, "Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment" (Hebrews 9:27).
But listen: We don't need to fear God's judgment—not if we know Christ! The reason is because He took upon Himself our judgment and our Hell when He died on the cross for us. All our sins were transferred to Him, and He died in our place. Make sure of your salvation by giving your life to Christ today.
