Sounds to me like they are trying to act better than they really are. Have you told them how they are acting? (sometimes people really don't know) If you've tried talking to them and they won't listen you may just have to play their little game with them. Stop babysitting for them and stop letting them in the house until they pull their heads out of their butts and grow up.

I have no idea! Are you dirty and unkept at church? Do you embarress them for some reason?
Try to have your family stay away from them during church any more. Then you won't be embarressed or hurt by their actions, and they yours.
Tell your mum to try putting a stop to u all's babysitting for awhile.
Your sis will wonder what is up, and then u can express your feeelings.

I have no idea, not really knowing the circumstances. The only advice I can give to you is to talk to them about this problem next time they're at your place.
Talk first to your mum to know, how far she would go. If she agrees, tell your sister and your brother-in-law that if they have a problem being seen with you in public, they should also have a problem that you guard their child. In other words: make clear, that unless they change their behaviour in public, you're no longer ready to babysit. I fear they are abusing your good nature.

Church is a place where they want to show off their baby to the people. They know you see her lots and spend lots of time with her.. They are new parents and are so proud they want everyone to meet her. I don;t think they are trying to be disrespectful to you all.. they are like a kid with a new puppy. Don't worry it will wear off in time...Most people who are not family only want to be introduced to a baby once.. Don't take it so personal....if they didn't like you or felt too good for you, you wouldn't have a relationship with their child. Relax... it will probably happen to you one day.....Tell grandma , not to worry... she will have all your sisters attention with the baby very soon. People tire of new babies......
They are starting off a new life and a new family... let them have a little glory... don't rain on their parade....they love you very much...

Why don't you try talking to your sister TACTFULLY?I mean to try and get her to talk to you about it without provoking a defensive reaction.A fight with her is the last thing you would want coz this would mean your mom would be more hurt.
From what you've written, it seems as if they just don't want your family to be seen with them publicly.Try to get your sister's confidence, maybe it's in-law problems or in-law competition or something like that. But I think it would be an eye-opener for your sister to know she's hurting your mother.

There is no way to find out why they are acting this way unless you ask. In a calm way, while they are at your house, talk to them calmly and tell them how much this hurts you and your mom and ask what the reason is.

Ask your sister. I cant imagine why they would do such a thing so you need to go to the source. Let her know what it is doing to your mother and how it makes the rest of you feel. Maybe she doesnt realize it.
