Honestly, I do not believe the smoke is the cause of your headache. You said that you have a daily headache. You stated that it has been going on for years. I doubt that there is someone smoking around the same time every day for years. Also, there would be a tolerance to the smoke over a period of time. There are so many things that can cause a headache. Nicotine actually improves the synapse flow in the brain, and headaches are not a very big side effect. If you left your apartment for 3 days, then you can be sure that it is not the smoke, as it shouldn't take more than 24 hours to clear your system.

If you left the apartment for 3 days, you should feel at least some relief if it were from the second hand smoke. If the Allegra D did help for a bit, sounds like it's allergies to me. Perhaps you've built up a tolerance for the Allegra (not sure if this is possible but it seems likely). Try warm compresses where the pain is. Also, the location of the pain seems to point to allergies. When I stay with my mother (who smokes) I always get a sinus headache but it dissapates within a day or two of leaving. Do you think maybe there's mold in the house? Best of luck to you.

If a person smokes and wishes to quit cold turkey, then it takes 7 to 10 days for the nicotine to clear out of their system. I would imagine the same is true for secondhand smoke, since it's actually cigarette smoke whether you're taking it directly from the cigarette or not. Yes, it can come into your apartment through the walls and cracks and through the electrical outlets. There are a lot of toxins in cigarette smoke and any and all of them can cause headaches as a symptom. If you are experiencing headaches, then you probably have something else wrong as well as a result of breathing in the smoke.

I dont think it is from second hand smoke. I am not a doctor though. My daughter was getting migranes all the time and I told her about a story I read. Bananas. I know it sounds silly but she started eating 2 to 3 Bananas a day and the headaches stopped. I think that with most headaches these days it is a lack of vitamins if you can afford it try a Natural Doctor and tell them you want a blood test for vitamin deficiency.

If you left the apartment for 3 days and still got the headaches, then chances are it's not the cigarette smoke. Have you seen a doctor to get this checked out? It has been 6 years straight with daily headaches.

It's nothing whatever to do with smoke from next door!

You have to look elsewhere for the problem. Don't try to blame it on someone else. Think what you do or don't do to yourself through diet or stress.
Do you dink two litres of water per day - if not, then you should.
Do you have the TV on constantly - turn it off.
Is there a gas leak in your house, or a leak of freon from the fridge?
Do you get enough exercise and fresh air.
Do you need new specs?
There could be 101 reasons, but it's definitely NOT next doors smoking habits.

contact the manager and let him know it bothers you. if he dont do nothing tell him you will call dept of health to take reading on how much real air is in youre appartment. should be at least 22.5 percent to sustain life anything below that gives you headaches and could cause other health problems. who knows what else they are smokeing .tell him you smell weed
