Yeah, that is truly an addiction. But I am very happy to hear that you recognized it is a problem. That is the first step in detox.

I suggest an inpatient detox program and going Narcotics Annoymous. They may have suggests for a good detox program. Doing it yourself at home can be pretty intense.

Let me tell you what happened to me just taking one tramadol at night with a doctor`s prescription for a sleeping disorder. I went to sleep at the wheel while driving to work one morning. I woke up after driving almost a block and saw that I was getting ready to hit another car broadside. I was slumped over to the side, and the only thing holding me up was my seatbelt. I jerked the wheel of the car and barely missed the car, but I went into a rain culvert causing almost $4,000. worth of damage to my 6 month old car. I also got a ticket for failure to keep control of my car and under the influence. My insurance went up $2500 a year. I was one of the lucky ones. You could do this with your wife and kids in the car and possibly hit another car as I know you are driving under the influence. Please let this wake you up so you will go get help. Just think of the money that you are wasting, and the things your family are going without. You will not get better without help, and if you get help it will set you free from the addiction. Doesn`t that sound better than the way you are living now? Besides that you are well on the road to overdosing, and your children will be without a father, and your wife without a husband. Good Luck

You can't do this on your own. You need to be honest with your wife and get into treatment. You owe it to your children to be clean and sober and the best father you can be. Life is hard enough without having to deal with an addicted father. I am praying for your recovery.

Your wife doesn't know what? Get to a Narcotics Anonymous meeting and go from there. There are other addicts who can help you. Good luck!

Look in the Mirror, then look at the kids. Do you need any more reasons to check into rehab.
Good luck

Please see the webpages for more details on Tramadol. You have to be admitted in the addiction centre for treatment.
