Many of them are stuck on themselves, thinking the girl is beneath them, when in fact the girl has them out classed by a long shot. The girl should leave this unappreciative clod with great speed.

It is that some people only see themselves. You can call it simply selfish, but it is actually more accurate to call it unevolved. In fact, the better these selfish people know someone intimately, the harder it is for the selfish person to see the intimate friend as separate from themselves. So they don't appreciate the intimate friend, because they start seeing him/her as this extension of their own ego.
My suggestion if you are trapped in a relationship like this: change the rules, do unexpected things, dress differently, eat diffrent foods ..... Constantly show the selfish person you are an individual he does not understand, and therefore can never take you for granted (internalize your ego as his own).

All human beings get pushed around when they are little. Which
leads to insecurity, a feeling of "not being safe". Children don't
have the emotional maturity to deal with that, so they resort to
bullying, and making fun, which creates bads feelings in us.
People have differnet ways of dealing with that. Some are
aloof, or detach themselves from what is going on around them. Most are critical. Always criticizing others. It's all designed to keep others at a distance, so we won't get hurt.
If one wants to have a satistfying relationship, they must
mature and overcome these aspects of human nature.

Sister, I appreciate my wife very much, God gave me a wife, that is a christian & we both see the scriptures eye to eye, we have never had a disagreement on any scriptures, But to answer your question, men sometimes even if they claim to be a christian, try to take a verse where the husband is the head, & that husband will try to use that as a tool to downgrade women, When the Husband not knowing that he is only the head as Christ is his head, I am the head over my wife, But I do not belittle her nor try to use scriptues to make her a slave, She has her own free will, Because Christ is my head. If i can not portray as Christ being my head, Then my wife does not have to honor me, Because Christ is also her head above all things.

Some guys consider women as 'objects'
But definitely they I agree with the guy one ahead of me too. They mature sooo slowly compared to us. It's almost impossible for my husband to understand how much work I go through. I may get to the point of yelling at him to make him listen. I might tell me nicely to clean up and he'll treat that as a joke, until I get mad, he'll get mad lol. He'll never get it.

The most probable cause is their father was a lousy role model for them. This is especially true when the father isn't even there. Their is hope, by the grace of God, that they can change though!
