I don't understand the question. We need food crops to eat don't we. Are you saying that you think that it is now a bad thing to even grow food?

It does have an impact.

If you look at a lot of argi areas, these areas had forests a few hundred years ago. Man cut down these forests and planted the area with his own plants. Additionally, all the eco-system that depended on these forests(insects, frogs, hamsters, and other animals, plants etc,) had to go with these forests and a lot of it is probably now extinct.
