Its a goal as a corner is direct ie does not need to be touched by anyone else, however if it where an indirect freekick passed back to the goalkeeper from opposing half and went directly in the goal would not stand and a corner would be given.

Im a girl who isn't into football and I know this! Its an own goal which may or may not count depending on the rules of the game but it usually counts as a point for the opposition

Perfectly legal but virtually impossible own goal.
I've heard of goals being scored from the centre circle but never one that was an own goal from the opposition's corner flag.
What a goal that would be!

He'd need one hell of a kick to get from one end of the pitch to the other, but if it did ever happen, it would be an own goal

it would be an own goal!! because its the same as taking a free-kick!! if a player took a free-kick and hit it into his own net!! the referee would award an own goal!!

Obviously it's an own goal......but it would have to be one hell of a back pass and a bling goal keeper to do that!
