Of course. A Synagogue is only a building, just as a church is only a building. Only after a building is "consecrated" does it truly become a church.

I think so! The church I used to go to was in a bum end of town! The synagogue was in a very convenient place! They were thinking of buying it because there were like, 5 Jewish families in the whole synagogue!

If a synagogue is no longer being used, it can be sold to a church that needs a place to hold services. After all, helping others is great

Hon whatever it is, it is always SOLD to the highest bidder!
Whoever buys the building can make it into what they can after its sold (unless its some sort of historical site) the problem of what it becomes goes to the next owner.
If ya know someone with a lot of money, maybe you can have them buy it and turn it into a Jewish Day Car Center or Jewish Boys and Girls Club or something like that to help the future Jewish people stay in a place which has sentimental value to many?
.............think about it..............

Technically no it should not be done The Talmud in Rosh Hosanna goes on great lengths to describe what should be done with a deserted Synagogue.
but that's not whats important. The fact is it is done and its unfortunate, many of those buildings are quite historic often over 100 years old. If I may ask what is the building in question are you asking about.
