Is it like a Fox TV religious survival show where contestants rival for having the purest souls? Or, are we all admitted because we are all fallible and made of the the same flesh and mortal matter? Were those born before Christ doomed to live in limbo? How limbo can you go? If we are all a part of God; how can we not be a part of his plan? Is there free will or are our futures pre -destined? It is late and I am falling asleep. Good night.

welcome to...........

WHEEL OF ...FUTURE!!!!

<>

Pat: Welcome ...welcome contestants to Wheel of Future. <>

Pat: I believe first we have Rosie from Boston.

Rosie: That's Holly Rose Oree. But sure....call me Rosie for short.

Pat: And next we have Bubbah from Tennessee. But I understand you moved from India?? Is that right?

Bubbah: That's correct Pat. Once I got my U.S. citizenship the Tennessee office of foreign affairs had a little bit of difficulty spelling my name. So I guess they went with what they were the most familiar with.

Pat: Understandable. And finally our third contestent is B. L. Zeebub. How are you B.L?

B.L.: I'm having a devil of a time getting used to this cool weather, but other than that.....just peachy.

Pat: Wonderful! Well, now that we've met our contestants... let's play "Wheel.....of.....Future!" Vanna Smite will now show us our first puzzle.

<>

Pat: Ok Rosie.....you have the first spin.

<>

Audience: Awwwwwwwwwww

Pat: Ohhhh Rosie, I"m so very sorry. You just landed on Limbo. This means you need to wait another lifetime until your next turn. Ok Bubbah.... your spin.

<>

Audience: Ahhhhhh......oooooohhhh......<>

Pat: Oh wow, Bubbah. It looks like you just gained enlightenment! Now.... let's see if you can illuminate a few of the letters of this puzzle.

Bubbah: I'll take an "L" Pat.

<>

Pat: There is an "L." <>

Bubbah: I'll spin again, Pat. <>

Pat: Wonderful. If you guess the next letter correctly you get a free vacation down the middle road.

Bubbah: Is there a "D?"

<>

Pat: There is a "D" Bubbah. <
Bubbah: Pat, I'd like to buy a vowel.

B.L.: WAIT!!! Doesn't that mean it is my turn then?? Only I control the bowels of hell!

Pat: Uhm... B.L., I do believe he wanted a vowel, not a bowel. Bubbah, you may by your vowel. What do you wish to trade in for it? Your enlightenment? The chosen path?

B.L.: I'll make a deal with you Bubbah. You sell me your soul and I'll pay for that vowel. It's a win win situation. You get your vowel....I get you.... what's there to think about?

Bubbah: I can't accept your offer B.L. My enlightenment will always show me the correct path, and I realize it is not selling my soul to you. Pat..... I'll buy that vowel in exchange for the chosen path. I'll take an "O."

<>

Bubbah: I'd like to solve the puzzle, Pat. "Life is God."

<>

Pat: You Win! And let's hear exactly what you've won...

VOICE FROM ABOVE: Bubbah.... you are the winner. In sacrificing the "chosen path" you took the correct path which leads you a Future life of enlightenment. Life is God and God is Life. Live by this and you'll never have to spin to find your fate again. *ahem* As for YOU, B.L? I think you could use a little more practice. As the loser of the day, you are doomed to spin the wheel of future in limbo until you finally understand what Bubbha has learned long ago. Might not hurt to sit with a Holly Rose Oree beside you either.

<>

Pat: And thank you one and all for joining us today for.....

WHEEL OF ...FUTURE!!!

Who can know the mind of God?
And that is my final answer.

But I have some additional comments. The last shall be first and the first shall be last. I like that concept.
We are all fallible and I believe that the only thing that distinguishes the Christian from the non-Christian is that the believer has acknowledged his sin and accepted the finished work of Jesus Christ as his only means of salvation.
Limbo? Christians in New Testament time look "back" to the death, resurrection and ascension of Christ; Old Testament believers looked "forward." The promise of a Messiah was given and they chose to believe. When the Messiah came, of course, many rejected him.
Free will vs. pre-destination: this is why I really wanted to answer your question. Volumes have been written on this one.
Don't worry - I won't cut and paste. I'm not even going to try to explain my view. Just want to share something I heard yesterday.
On a Christian radio show the fellow was talking about the choices we make and the fact that sometimes we make really lousy ones. The newer cars have the GPS systems, and if you make a wrong turn a recording will say "Recalculating your route." The system will provide a new map so you can still reach your intended destination. That is a rough analogy of how God works with us. He allows us to make our choices, but no matter how badly we screw up, he can get us turned in the right direction again. It may take a bit longer or put us in some bad locales, but he'll get us where we need to be.
I like that word picture. Dang! I take the long way around far too often.

I think about in this way, God created us and He does as He pleases. Just as the Bible uses the metaphor of the potter and the clay. If we were potters, and we made several coffee cups, we might use one all the time, we might use another only on special occasions, and there might be a couple we kind of cast to the side or push to the back of the cupboard.

Go to sleep dear your very tired. Ya shouldn't be thinking such pensive thoughts right before bed.

I believe futures are pre-destined but as far as who decides who leads the better life, it is YOU right now.

No need to time travel and wonder about the after life ya need to do the best you can right now and try to do your best to help whomever you can yet keeping you and your family safe at the same time.

All we have is what we are and to spend any time thinking about setting up your cushness in the afterlife is truly a waste of time as it is already done.........you'll see it when ya get there stop being in such a hurry to move on.

.......think about it...........

God wants everyone to be winners . He gave us everything and it is upto us to take anything good or bad. If we face trouble ofcourse God is there to help us. We can call Him anytime and He will come to our help. He is a loving God., Before Jesus was born manypeople would have died without knowing the Son of God. The day Jesus was crucified and dead He had gone down to preach them and it is in the Bible. The only He had gone to heaven.

Ok let me try to explain how we get into heaven.

You have to be saved. You have to ask God to come into your heart and to forgive you, and to live through you. Thats not the exact way you have to do it. Everyone has their own ways of asking to be saved. But you have to ask. As soon as you do your name is written in the Book Of Life which means you're heaven bound. Live a good life reading your Bible and following the ten commandments and you will see eternal happyness at the end of days. Good luck and God bless.

You have a flare don't you in applied logic. God allows Jesus to judge. Those who have accepted Him as Savior go to heaven (because their name is written in the Lambs book of life) those who haven't go to hell. Those who lived before Christ are judged by their faith. I also think that it will be measured those who trusted in God's future promises will be under the NC, but those who did not won't.

All of us are not part of God, we are enemies of God until we accept His plan for salvation, and then we are adopted into His family. There is free will, we area ll pre-destined to be with Christ, (that is why He died) but we have to choose using our free will to be with Him or not.

All religions teach the spiritual concept that we will be weighed
in the balance. Regarding the bad and the good things we
have done. And our reward or punishment will be proportional
to that.

He has already decided.

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

That means that all cannot enter heaven on our own accord.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.

But God gives us a way out.

Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

We qualify for heaven by faith in Jesus and not of our own works!

Romans 10:9-10
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

That is Straight from God and not man.

The Quran as stated by the answerer below did not come from God.

It was made up by Muhammed who murdered people and robbed caravans for a living!

The plan for salvation does "Not" come from a man, Muhammed, who at 54 years of age said that his god told him it was O. K. to have sexual intercourse with a 9 year old "Child"!
