I am giving him vitiams, but I am very worried he is not getting enough veggies. Fruit he will eat all kinds. He is very stubbon when I put something else on his plate to try. He will give it back to me or throw it if I will not take it. I have tried telling him he could not get the potates until he tried some veggies or meat (no go) Help please.

ASK HIM. he's the right age to talk sufficient to make it easier to realize WHAT he does unlike approximately that distinctive nutrition. i must be the style, the feel, or a particular to-choking incident basically he can remember. IF it replaced into specifically cooked for him, flavor it your self - the toddler could be good. regardless of if this is basically occurring with one or 2 products, do no longer difficulty approximately it. there is not any choose for each individual to eat one in all each and every thing; a healthful existence is a threat without each and every ingesting a carrot or mung bean. It sounds somewhat greater like this is nutrition there is person insistence approximately, this is why he's being sneaky approximately no longer ingesting it - put in the mouth to avert the fuss, spit out to nevertheless get "his way" approximately no longer ingesting it. this could nicely be a sturdy age to those experiments with independence. If the nutrition products are seen necessary, bypass over them for a week or 2, then pointedly pile them up basically on person plates, with a remark approximately it being specific or sons and daughters no longer being allowed them. this might exchange the object from an merchandise of dispute to one in all choose.

1. Do you eat with him, or does he see you eating?
2. Do you eat a lot of vegetables?
Setting an example is always good. How can you convince anyone of anything that you do not do.
3. How do you cook potatoes for him? If he eats potatos in any way, you can fix some potato omelets and add first veggies which are similar in color (not the green ones), like carrots, then as he accepts those, you can add parsley which does not change much the taste and gets him used to the color.
When you offer fruit to him, you can cut them in slices and add for instance cellery, and see if he eats at least a piece.
Sometimes children take a long time to get used to vegetables, but eventually they will eat it for it is good for their digestion.
you can deep fry vegetables like in Chinese and Japanese recipes.
You can give him tomato with sugar, children usually love it for it is sweet.
You have to be patient, set an example, make the veggies attractive.
On the other hand, if he eats fruit, he is getting enough vitamins.

Toddlers are so much fun when it comes to eating, LOL Its like a daily adventure. You can disguise veggies in many foods, for instance when you make spaghetti sauce add some broccoli or spinach and whip it up in a blender, then add the meat and pour over pasta, you can also get carrot chips in your produce section, they are much easier for a small child to eat than a carrot stick, also try some fried corn, cucumbers, You can also disguise veggies in hamburgers, casseroles, soups.

Try making the food look fun.
If it is a sandwhich use cookie cutters to make shapes out of it.
Make a colorful fruit salad.
Try things with different colors and textures that he may like to try.
Just be creative about it. He should find the food fun and would like to eat it.
Try making a raw veggie salad, he may like it with a dressing for more flavor.
You HAVE to have a consenquense if he throws food. That is not acceptable for him to boss you around. He thinks he can get away with it. You have to teach him that he can't.

Sometimes kids imitate what you do, may be if you eat it first and make a big deal out of it , like "mmm, this is soo good, mm you should try it, mmm" you know like playing the airplane when you give him the food or something like that. If he still doesn't eat, don't worry too much, he still eats fruit, and if he doesn't eat meat, I don't think there is much problem, remember there are a lot of Veggie people with healthy kids. Good Luck!

Well lots of kids like fries so what you do is season some carrot sticks, lightly coat the pan with oil and bake them until they are crisp, greenbeans the same or try cooking the greenbeans together with meat and potatoes, sounds nasty but when my son wouldn't eat veggies we tried all kinds of things!

What I have learned with my kids is give them vitamins that will help with the diet also. Plus you can put cheese on broccoli or cheese on any veggie or even ranch dressing. You can have them help you make the food or even have a theme day. Like we will eat all green foods today or make the foods in shapes. Kids love that stuff!

Don't tell him what the difference is, lets say you give him a green bean, tell him its a different kind of potato, my niece is the same way.. she loves her veggies though, but she doesn't' want to eat certain other things, such as bread, we tell her is a "bean bean" , it works, she eats healthy that way, he is not old enough yet to tell the difference unless you tell him that there is a difference, another example, when you give your child Motrin, do you tell him its medicine, or candy? and which one do you think they are going to take without a fight? i know you don't' want to lie, but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do....
