check your engine codes or have a diagnostics check done ,but I am betting it is coil related .
If it was 1 or 2 pluggs or a couple of wires I would say "replace both" but I would think about coil or coils if your having multiple missfire issues at all times.
use a spark tester and see if you may not be getting spark at all cylinders from your coil or (coils if distributor-less equipped)to the pluggs .coil packs are a little expensive for some vehicles .but on a vehicle 10yrs old I would replace them anyway ;fresh coils will give it better spark regardless .

Assuming you have changed your plugs and plug wires already. Check your distributor cap you could be getting a ring fire on your distributor. If contacts look worn change it. And you have tried a couple of different brands of gasoline.
Next You could be having a timing problem check your timing.
I've also had a case where a fuel pump going bad would cause that when you get up to around 4.000 RPM.
Another place to look is your injector system and injectors.
