We adopted a baby boy from Kazakhhstan in 2003. We had two children ages 15 and 17 at the time. The whole experience was somewhat stressful but also the greatest experience of our lives. We lived with a Kazak family for three weeks and spent 5 days in Moscow, Russia. We would do it all over again. Our son is perfect and as much our child as our bio children. We are changed people for the better because of our adventure. I don't know what the adoptions situation for Kaz is right now. I do know that things change frequently for international adoption. Good luck with your decision.

Go speak to Social Services & perhaps put yourself up for fostering to start with, that way you will get experience with children that have had a bit of a bad time, then from there on you could possibly follow through with adopting 1 or more of the foster children in your care............hi just tried IM you but it all gone funny (its an age thing I think lol) send me ya email & I will advise anything you want

Go through your states foster care system. It's easy and it's free. I adopted 2 children from the state. Good luck.

If you do adopt, be sure and have the child grow up know he/she is adopted and that they are special because you picked them out of all the others.
Its much easier to deal with, than to find out as an adult after growing up thinking you were a biological child.

Yes, I'm adopted. My one bit of advice is make sure you tell the child they are adopted as soon as he/she is able to understand. It is much easier to grow up knowing than to find out later as an adult. If they want to find their biological parents encourage it. It made my life easier.

that would be so nice.. the child that you will be adopting will be overwhelmed.. at first, it may be hard for your legal children to have a sibling from outside.. just learn to love your adopted child.. i konw a lot of friends and relatives who are adopted and have adopted.. they are so blessed for having that opportunity.. save a child.. adopt and love them..
