The only ones that I know of that you should mix with water before drinking would be Golden Grain or any that are as high alcohol content as that. Absinth or the "Green Fairy", and Moonshine for all us in the south!! Bacardi is a strong drink, but you can chug it straight it ya like. I perfer shots or mixers. You can always type in the Bartenders guide to mixed drinks if you need more ideas.

First of all.... how old are you???? Bacardi is good but its not that good that you would want to drink it straight. The typical way most people drink it is with coke. You can mix it with fruit punch to keep it simple or get yourself any bartending book to experiment with recipes. Check out Bacardi.com for some drink ideas too!

Not many people drink rum straight or neat unless you are inspired by Johnny Depp in "pirates of the Caribbean". Mixing it with Coke and lime is probably the most common.
No, you don't HAVE TO mix it. Go ahead, do it up "raw", especially with the 151. That ought to put some hair on your you know what. :P Cheers

It's called "neat" or "straight," not "raw." And yes, a lot of people drink Bacardi straight, though some like it "on the rocks," - on ice.
