Take $150.00 of brand new 2006 shiny, brand new pennies, and put them in an attractive jar or vase.

The gift of $150 would be really appreciated, and I'm not being silly with you.

I've been in your shoes, wanting to get something unique, different, a stand out gift. But when I got married a couple of years ago, I realized how much it was appreciated to receive items from my registry. Some of the things I received not from my registry are either things I didn't need or just don't like. It's risky to go off-registry (do you know how many thoughtful frames and crystal vases I received?)

If they don't have a registry, that's their way of letting people know they don't need anything (and money would be appreciated).

If you want to give them/him something to signify what he means to you, something you want him to remember you by when he looks at in his home. What kinds of things have you done together? Was there a favorite toy you played with as children, favorite movie, band/album...

Hey! I just had a great idea! A really sweet-idea gift would be to buy one of those picture frames that has many different places for photo's. You can get high quality frames from better department stores (Macy's, Neiman Marcus). Get an assortment of photo's from your childhood/adulthood, and from hers, include photos of family members and beloved pets. Leave some empty spaces for them to fill in with wedding snapshots. You could even fill in the empty spots with pics of the favorite things you two have shared. Something like that will find a place almost anywhere in their home together!

Good Luck!

Something you don't see much...like get an awsome picture of the two and then frame it and get everyone that went to the wedding to sign it and put heart warming messages. That will surely make them thankful for every thing and everyone theve got and you can add in some few little gifts on the side with the exstra money you'll have left. Good Luck!

You need to find something that they both will enjoy. There are a number of things that you could purchase for 150.00. If I were going to buy them something for 150.00 I would make sure that it is something they will enjoy for a long time. First you need to find out what color the inside of their home is so you can try to color coordinate. If you have a really good picture of them together you could take it and have a canvas painting of them. This would be something that they could hold onto for years to come. You can have it done in color or just black and white which will go with anything, then have it framed in a elegant frame. good luck

I think my idea will be silly.

Why don't you buy some domestic/house/kitchen properties? I think those can be useful for started new family life. You can buy microwave, small refrigerator, portable gas stove, small television, bed covers, etc. I think that's good idea according to the surprised and useful gifts.

Did they register for china? Getting a whole place setting is nice, but usually very expensive ($100 - $150) so many people don't usually get those. I wish more people would have gotten us the place settings we registered for.
