I have been on this for over a year now and for me it has been one of the best drugs allowing me to sleep and erase a lot of the horrible images that come to mind. Just wondering what your experience has been.

I've been on it for several years now. I've had insomnia my entire life, in addition to bipolar and other fun stuff like that. I've been on various of combinations of about 18 different psych meds altogether. Seroquel slows down my racing thoughts and is the best sleep aid I have ever tried...and it does not make it harder to wake up for me. I have been on a low dose for a long time...from 50-100 mg.

I was on seroquel for years and went off of it a year ago. YES, it is very helpful but I could not wake up in the morning. I would sit on the edge of my bed for almost an hour before I could get up. With more talk therapy I have been able to deal with my problems and wean myself off this drug. Hopefully you will be able to as well some day.

Seroquel didn't really help me sleep when I was on it last year. I got put on Zyprexa and I find that it helps me much more.
