My brother has severe butterfingers, and everytime he plays on my guitar, PSP, etc., he keeps polishing them with his sweat and fingerprints, etc. Please help!

You'd probably get a few more answers if you told us in the first place that you meant he has OILY skin. Use of the word "Butterfingers" here means "to drop things a lot or be generally clumsy" - so not being an expert I can only agree with what you've been told already: Wash, and use talc - BUT get him to see a Doctor, for all is not well with him.

Butterfingers? Have you tried switching to margarine?
Seriously, Butterfingers in England means being clumsy.
What you mean is an overactive sweat response (I think).
This can be ured by cutting nerves in your underarm and wrist.

His sweat glands may be over active. Have him see his doctor.
