First you need to find out why she does not approve. Is it because he is black or is it his personally?I have only dated black guys for 6 years now and my son is biracial and no one in my family has a problem with it.My friends ask me what i find attractive but are always pleasant and invite who ever i date into there homes. If he was white would your mom have a problem with it???? that is what you have to ask your self, is the problem just the color? if so then your mom is prejudice and she needs to find a way to deal with it.We are all equal. If you are old enough to make your own decisions then your mom needs to butt out of your life and deal with fact that you are dating a black man, and if you are not old enough to make your own decisions then just be care full how you deal with it because your mom could make it difficult on you and him, good luck

I think if you are old enough to make your own decisions moms has to respect them or she should just want you happy no matter what color you are with. My mom use to call me the n word lover all the time as a teenager in high school & I use to get beat up by black girls & harrassed by white girls & called names But it was who I was and I didn't let them break me cause I have the right to love whatever color I want.

Are you dating a black guy because you want to show your defiance toward your mother?--or do you sincerely love this man? Most importantly, you need to examine the nature of your relationship with this man. If his feeling for you are not genuine, then I could understand your mother's concern. And of course, she may be worried how others may look upon your relationship.
Interracial relationships are touchy situations. I've seen it where the families of the black individual were strongly opposed to one of their own going outside their race. It's not always the other way around.

This world has enough problems without racial prejudice. I know your dilemma because my husband is black. I have to say that he is the kindest and best man I have ever known. Explain to your mom that your heart is colorblind. If she has to dislike him, let it be for some wrong he has done to her and not the color of his skin.

Date him anyway if you like him. Race doesn't matter in this day and age. Besides, your mom can't tell you who you can and can't date.

Tell your mom "just because hes black you cant push me around. I still like him." Because she can't say stuff like that its like sayin " i hate my dog because his fur has a red spot" Hope this helps.

Maybe you are using the race as an excuse and your mother really doesn't like him for other reasons. Does he treat you well, respect you, etc.Maybe it is his personality that she doesn't like and not the color of his skin.

Date a white guy. Don't you know that black men are trying to destroy the white race by making lots of inter-racial babies! That is thier master plan! If you don't believe me, take a look around you. When was the last time you saw a black man dating a black girl? Think about it!
